CONFIRMATION is that process in the Presbyterian Church in which young people (8th grade or older) confirm their baptism (or get baptized), claim their adult faith, and become an official member of the church.
At Genesis, confirmation includes discussions, outreach projects, reflections, and worship -- it really is a fun time of growth and laughter.
During our multiple months of time together, we tour the Bible from cover to cover, study the books of Jonah and James, consider the essentials of Reformed Theology, review the basics of church history, discuss the intersection of faith and life, visit other churches, and more!
We also read and consider Praise Habit: Finding God in Sunsets and Sushi or Everybody Wants To Go To Heaven, But Nobody Wants To Die. Finally, Confirmands also connect with an adult church member who helps guide them in faith reflection.
