Trapeze Artists practicing

Our Genesis parking lot on a Special Event day.

For more info, check out Worship/Special Events, For Others, and For Us to find out more about the goings-on at Genesis! Also, check out our VISTA online weekly newsletter for other special activities that come along during our busy year.

Ministry and Worship at Genesis is about celebration.
To that end, we have a lot of special events...

First Fest

Party Favors for First FestOkay, we admit it. When Don and Rob came to us with the great idea to start the new year by having just one worship service... that can last 2 hours!... we were a bit hesitant. Actually, we thought they were crazy. We reminded them, "We are PRESBYTERIANS you know..."

Turns out, yeah, they are crazy, but that's another story. First Fest has become a favorite tradition at Genesis!

FIRST FEST is about shouting out for all we did the previous year, and then getting psyched for the coming year's opportunities. There is the Great Breakfast Banquet and tons of music, as well as a few surprises.

Holly Daze Annual Auction & Talent Show!

Holly wreath

In early November our community creates, collates, donates, and then celebrates like crazy. Holly Daze includes both a silent and live auction, a festive atmosphere, dinner, and entertainment. Homemade Dinners, yardword, weekends at a condo, hosting special meals for others, fishing trips, handyman labor, personal crafts... the list of donations gets bigger every year. What can you bring to the party?

Blessing of the Animals

Blessing the animals

October brings outdoor worship with our faithful companions (insert joke about dogma and catachism HERE)  a commemoration of Francis of Assisi, the Christian saint associated with love and care of animals.

God's creation reveals the artist, and as we celebrate our pets, we celebrate God's remarkable creation.

Annual Progressive Dinner

Christmas tree stampWe carpool from the church all over Littleton to members' homes for hors d'oeuvres and main courses. From there we all end up back at the church for desserts - more treats than any congregation ought rightly to enjoy.
